We met Jitka a few years ago when my son was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. She answers our emails timely, makes sure his blood tests are carried out timely and his script is sent for his biologics on time. However, we now are experiencing some abnormal blood results and she has been beyond amazing at organising an ultrasound at short notice, further blood tests . She is our port of call in the IDB team and although we have not met face to face since before Covid, it appears that we have a caring individual in this team that “knows” my son and looks after his welfare extremely well. I recently had a review for my condition by phone which was far easier than visiting the hospital. Nurse gave me some advice on how I could manage the flare ups and it works, thank you for your help, it’s much appreciated.

Always seems rushed and lacking compassion or understanding. Very administrative approach rather than medicinal/caregiving.

Hi, the email service from St. Marks (Jitka) is a great set-up for the IBD Nurse Telephone Clinic and seems to be working well for me. Previously I would send a message and get no response, but it’s good there is a single person now who communicates with you and replies promptly. Great experience…thanks very much Jitka
